Army Headquarters on Wednesday named Major General Hamidul Haque as the next director general of Directorate General of Forces Intelligence, replacing Major General Ahmed Tabrej Shams Chowdhury who was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant General.
Lieutenant Colonel Abu Hayder Mohammad Rasheluzzaman, the director at Inter-Services Public Relations, confirmed the information.
According to an order issued by the AHQ’s military secretary Major General Khan Firoz Ahmed, the incumbent DG of DGFI, Tabrej Shams, will be made the general officer commanding at Army Training and Doctrine Command, better known as ARTDOC in Mymensingh Cantonment on his promotion.
In the same order, the incumbent GOC-17 Major General Hamidul Haque was named as the next chief of the military spy agency. Hamidul Haque was born on June 23 in 1970 in Cox’s Bazar.
